It’s been a stressful day

It’s been a pretty stressful day. We had a decent sized graduation party next door, where no one was wearing a mask or social distancing. Personally, I find that incredibly selfish and immensely frustrating. That being said, it could have been much worse.

It was pretty low key and relatively quiet. Normally, it’s very loud and obnoxious over there. I’m very grateful it wasn’t any worse than it was..

I spent a large part of the day scrubbing carpets. Ruby has been peeing in the boys room, probably because she’s stressed out. It’s small enough that you don’t notice it until it happens enough that the smell catches your attention.

The carpet on the second floor is at least 50 years old and in awful condition. Scrubbing it really doesn’t seem to do a whole lot. It really just needs to be replaced. It needed to be replaced a long time ago but I just didn’t have the money.

We really need to get out of this house ASAP and I’m working to make that happen. Unfortunately, I have a bit of time before I could safely do that anyway, so I will keep working on it until then.

As we approach day 90 of lockdown, life is becoming more and more difficult to manage. Everyone is overwhelmed, anxious, and stressed out. We’re in this for the long haul so I’m really hoping to find ways of better managing everything.

Hey rob,
For some reason, your blog posts dont seem to be posting to your main blog page. I have been finding them through your twitter and then linking back, but there may be some kind of coding problem. It might be on my end though, im not super up with those things.

I’m glad, sans people wearing masks, the party wasn’t as big and loud as it could have been. And I wish you success in finding another home in the near future for you and your sons to have a more peaceful environment to live and prosper.
