I mentioned recently that I wanted the kids to get involved in things that weren’t battery powered or attached to a screen. Well, wish granted. Zen Laboratory reached out and wanted to sponsor a review of their Jumbo Slime Kit. They retail for about $30 and they sent one for each of the kids. While I don’t personally like playing with slime anymore, it turns out my kids do.

Honestly, there isn’t much you can say about slime other than I used to love playing with it as a kid. Gavin isn’t into it but Elliott and Emmett love it. They’ve been playing with it for the last week.

I’m not a huge fan of the glitter but it serves a purpose, looks cool in the slime and the kids limited its use to the dining room. I have a feeling I’ll be finding glitter for the foreseeable future but they had fun and considering we’re living through a global pandemic, it’s not a huge deal. ☺

You seem to get quite a lot for $30. There’s 18 little mini jello containers of different colored slime and tons of little things that can be mixed into the slime, including glow powder. My kids loved that and made these really cool swirly designs that glow in the dark.

As long as you put the slime back in the containers when your done playing with it, it should last you a little while.

My kids are autistic and have sensory processing challenges and frankly, I was surprised that they enjoyed slime all over their hands. It was a hit for 2/3 of my kids and that’s an accomplishment in my world.

Anyway, the whole point is that it’s nice to see the kids doing something creative. Aside from the glitter, there wasn’t a mess to clean up afterwards and they are continuing to play with the slime a week later.

I really like this slime kit. It’s simple to use and it’s pretty cheap. I while I received it for free as part of this review, it’s something I would buy in the future. The kids really enjoy it and that makes me happy.
