My kids are f*cking ridiculous and I’m so thankful for them

I had a rough time sleeping last night but I did manage some sleep and I’m so grateful for that. Emmett made it almost the entire night in his own bed and I’m really proud of him.

I was struggling a bit yesterday and I neglected to share some of the positives we experienced. As it’s Thanksgiving here in the States, I wanted to share some things I’m thankful for.

Let’s start with my ridiculous kids. The other day, I took them to the park where we go walking. It was after therapy and it was very dark out. The only thing creating any light were the Christmas lights that the kids wanted to walk around and look at.

It was really dark and frankly kind of creepy, so I made the boys stay close as we walked around looking at the lights.

They decided it would be a great idea to pose for some pictures in the dark. It was so dark that I couldn’t see them on11 my phone screen and I didn’t use a flash. We were just going to take whatever we could get.

They posed in the places we commonly stopped to take pictures. The idea was to recreate pictures we’d previously taken during the day, only this time, they would be in the dark. Here are the results.

Elliott and Emmett thought they would be funny. Keep in mind, I couldn’t really see what they were doing on the phone screen because it was just too dark and they assumed the picture would turn out the same way. While I didn’t use the flash, I did use the Night setting on my Note 10 Plus. After I took two pictures, I went back and looked at them. What you see above is what I found. Lol

Elliott was hiding and only poking his head out and Emmett was playing dead. Gavin was simply posing for the picture. My kids are ridiculous and I’m thankful for every minute I get with them.

The boys spent some time with their mom and grandparents yesterday afternoon. Elliott came home a little upset but overall, it sounds like a very positive visit and that is always a good thing. We’ve come a long way in a short amount of time and I’m thankful the kids have been able to adjust as much as they have.

While they were gone, I was able to get the car washed and waxed. I was able to get a few segments recorded for this week and next week’s episodes. I almost finished S2E8 but the file became corrupt and I had to begin again. That’s not fun and it was quite frustrating. My laptop is starting to go bad and that’s going to create major problems for me. It needs to at least last until tax return and even then it’s gonna be tough.

I was able to get back to where I was before I had to scrap it and I’m thankful for that.

I went to bed last night in a really bad place but I’m feeling a little better this morning. I appreciate the outpouring of support and I seem to have a better footing today. I’ve got lots of work to get done but I thankful to have said work.

I hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving. Not everyone reading celebrates that so instead accept my warm wishes. We will be going to my parents house today for Thanksgiving dinner and the boys are really excited. There’s only going to be 9 people there today, including the 4 of us. That means low-key and low-key is better for the kids.

9 people is all right. The fewer people, the more you can relate to each one. We family of 4 will go out to a nice Thanksgiving meal and have a pleasant time. We’re doing the bigger family thing in a couple weeks. So take care for Thanksgiving, Rob!
