I’m really excited about today. I spoke yesterday about my current struggles with depression and anxiety. Sometimes I have good days and sometimes I have bad days. Today is a mixed bag for me but I’m going to focus on the positive.
In a few minutes, I’m going to go walking and if everything goes as planned, I’m also going to reach my goal for the month before I’m done.
Over the past 29 days, I climbed into the car and drove to the park to go walking a total of 35 times. The total mileage of those walks is GPS tracked and clocks in at 77.68 miles. My goal is to hit 80 miles this month and I’ll do so before the end of my walk today.
For me personally, that’s a pretty amazing accomplishment.
I’ve lost another pound this week, making my current weight 304.4 lbs and my total weight loss this year to 35.6 lbs. ☺
I’m not sure if I can keep up an 80 mile/month pace, especially in the winter months that are quickly approaching. I had to walk in the pouring rain on quite a few occasions and that won’t happen in colder weather.
In the absence of a treadmill, I’m going to try and find other places where I can walk, in the event of inclement weather.
I really hope that what I’m doing can inspire at least one other person to take the steps needed to better care for themselves. Self-care is so important, especially when you’re a full time caregiver. You’re absolutely worth the time, energy, effort and sacrifice. ☺
Congratulations! BTW, our local schools allow walking so maybe yours do too? Or malls are good for that.
Schools no but the mall does actually open early for walkers.. ☺
