It’s been a really long day and it’s only 3:30 PM. I’m actually feeling much better today and want to give a big thanks to the inlaws for chillin’ with the kids while I took Lizze to her doctor at the Cleveland Clinic.

I have to say, the traffic was good and we made excellent time. ☺

Unfortunately, when we arrived at the doctors office, Lizze was informed that her appointment was at the other location. Considering we didn’t even know there was another location, it was a bit frustrating.

Apparently, her doctor has begun seeing patients in a second location as well. In all the years Lizze has been a patient, the appointments have always been in the same place.

Lizze’s appointment ended up being in this new location, we just didn’t know anything about it prior to showing up at the wrong place.

They were kind enough to give us 15 minutes to make the 25 minute drive to the other side of Cleveland, so she could still be seen today.

We get there and Lizze hops out of the car and sets out to find her doctor.

The office was really cool about this whole thing because we are the first this has happened to and probably won’t be the last.

Unfortunately, after meeting with her Rheumatologist, Lizze was told that Rheumatology no longer treats patients for Fibromyalgia and that she was being let go.

Rheumatology has been the only recognized place that treated patients with Fibromyalgia. I don’t know why that ever got started that’s just the way it’s been forever.

Anyway……

So that sucked and it was an emotional blow for Lizze because Fibromyalgia is already hard enough to manage, now it looks like her primary care physician will be managing her Fibro medications.

What I’d like to know is if this is a Cleveland Clinic, Rheumatology in general or the doctors personal thing.

I think it’s going to be okay but Lizze is understandably nervous and feels somewhat abandoned.

As long at everything keeps moving, this will end up being a shift of medical providers and that’s about it.

We grabbed lunch on the way home and Lizze is currently sleeping. The boys are on their way home right now so I’m going to prepare for their arrival.

Have a great afternoon…
