We had a pretty awesome day, and spent a large part of it at Universal Studios. We were very realistic about the kids limitations and rather than trying to create in as much as we could, we instead focused on what everyone wanted most.

Our priority was everything Harry Potter and we managed to do just that.

The weather was really crappy and it rained most of the time but that didn’t stop us from making the most of our opportunity. Lizze and the boys picked out their official Harry Potter wands and aside from almost having a stroke when I paid for them, it was such an amazing thing to see the looks on their faces as they swished and flicked. ☺

We spent a few hours walking around and exploring every Harry Potter thing that Universal Studios had to offer. We saw and experinced all kinds of unique things. We saw people in realistic dinosaur costumes and tons of people sporting Harry Potter garbs.

By the time we finished up our exploration, the boys were exhausted and wanting to leave. To be honest, Lizze and I had reached our limit as well.

We grabbed some lunch on the way back to our condo and took a nap until dinner time. After dinner, we hit the ice cream parlor and headed back to play some games. It ended up being a relaxing evening and early night.

I think we’re going to stick close to home tomorrow. Emmett really wants to go fishing and it might be the perfect day to do so. Hopefully the weather will hold out long enough for us to gets some lines out into the water.

I’m looking forward to a quiet day, relaxing at Give Kids the World Village. ☺
