I’m doing the best I can to prepare for the week ahead. Elliott’s first day of school is in the morning and I’m not sure how well that’s going to go.
About 1 hour later, Gavin is scheduled to begin his 2nd antibody infusion. However, I think that only one of us are going to be able to make it there because there is far to much to get done before Wednesday morning.
I believe that Elliott will be going to my parents house on Tuesday night and assuming Gavin handles the infusion okay, we will go to Lizze’s parents house. We need them to spend the night because we have to be at Akron Children’s Hospital before 7am Wednesday morning for Emmett’s surgery.
Emmett will be admitted for at least 24 hours post op. We are hoping he will be home around lunchtime on Thursday. Lizze will be the one that will be staying with him overnight. I’m in a better position to look after the other boys and get then to school. This does present a problem for us. Emmett needs about 7 days to recover from surgery before doing much of anything.
With that said, we have an extremely important appointment at the Cleveland Clinic in regards to Gavin’s health issues. I may have to take Gavin on my own as Emmett may not be in a position to leave the house. If he is cleared and doing okay, we will have one of our parents watch him while we make the trip to Cleveland on Friday.
We don’t have a whole lot of wiggle room this week. Everything needs to go as planned in order for this all to work out.
