So the Van broke down AGAIN the other day only this time it was a really bad situation and ended up being pretty dangerous not only for us but all the stupid people that didn’t know what hazard lights mean on a STRANDED vehicle. We had to get a police escort in order to push the van out of construction and into a parking lot so we could safely get the kids out and have it towed. We had the van towed to the AWESOME guys down at Waterloo Transmission. The have had the van for going on two days now and would you believe the van has NOT shown a single problem. They tested the fuel pump as well and it never failed or even showed signs of weakness. No one could get her to start before she was towed. However, we dropped her off and the techs climbed in and started her right up and she has been going strong ever since. AAAAAAHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Β
WTF….. I swear this van just hates us…but why? We gave her (and yes I refer to the van as a her) a good home, a brand spanking new transmission and an engine overhaul all things any other van would be grateful for. All that, whileΒ incrediblyΒ expensive, was still cheaper then anything else we could find. I’m beginning to wonder it she just wants to die. I mean, she is pushing 200,000 miles but we replaced most ALL of the MAJOR problem parts this winter. She’s in AMAZING physical shape (ok maybe that’s a bit weird) but no matter what anyone does she just won’t stay on the road. Now the problem is that it’s becoming dangerous to trust her with my family. We were lucky this last time but we may not be so lucky in the future. What about all the out of town driving we have to do for the kids and Lizze for that matter? Am I supposed to trust that she won’t put us in danger again? These commutes are hundreds of miles long on VERY busyΒ interstates.
I really have no clue what we are supposed to do especially as we have no other realistic options to choose from.
Keep up the good fight! Your family is always in my thoughts and prayers.

Does she have a name? We name all our cars and some people think we are mad but I think its cute when the kids say lets get in 'Tottie', which was one of our cars names. So either she doesnt like her name or she wants one and then Im sure she'll behave for you. If only there was car school like puppy school you'd have no problems!
