It’s finally Friday and the very long week is coming to a close. What better way to celebrate than shipping the kids off to their grandparents house for the night.

I love my kids, but holy shit do I need a break. I know Lizze does as well.

The kids are equally excited about going and Gavin’s been packed since this morning. He’s been counting the minutes all day.

I don’t get paid until next week so it will be a poor man’s date night, but we can certainly enjoy a quiet house, some Netflix and an uninterrupted nights sleep.

Sleep is the main selling point here for us.

I’m so grateful for tonight’s break and I’m once again reminded that we are lucky to have such supportive family, on both sides.  ☺

Hey Rob, I have a question and this seems as good a place as any to ask it – did you ever come up with a Make A Wish for Gavin? You had mentioned LegoLand but I haven’t seen anything else about it. I saw something mentioned over on Lizze’s blog about Utah, is that the Make A Wish thing? Utah is beautiful, I drove through a few years ago and keep meaning to plan a trip back.

It makes perfect sense that Gavin can’t come with anything. I remember when my nephews were young I’d take them to Toys R Us for their birthdays and tell them to pick stuff out- they would become overwhelmed by having so many choices that they would kind of freeze up. I imagine Gavin might be the same way.
Vivint is sending you to Utah? That’s great! Whole family or just you and Lizze?

We have to finish the application but Gavin doesn’t know what, if anything he wants to do. He doesn’t want to travel at all. Before we finish the process, we need Gavin to come up with something he’d want to do.

The Utah thing is unrelated. It’s a Vivint related trip. Hope that answers your question

All of us. We’ll drive out and make a great cross country trip of it. I don’t have the details but we’re going to their corporate headquarters.. ☺
