While I avoid politics on this site, I feel compelled to take a stand and use my platform to share a message that I hope with resonate with my readers.
I don’t care who you voted for in this election. Right or wrong, I believe that we each voted for someone we felt would do right by our country and its citizens. Time will tell if the right person was chosen.
In the meantime, I would like to ask that we not let our differences keep us apart.
I’m saddened to see the direction this once great country has taken over this recent presidential campaign. I’ve seen more hate, racism, bigotry and intolerance than I had thought still existed, at least in the United States.
Maybe I was naive because I’m a lower middle class, white male and I’ve never experienced any of these things first hand. I’ve never been racially or ethnically profiled. I’ve never had reason to fear the police or extremist groups that promote hatred and bigotry.
My eyes have been opened to what’s going on around us and it’s heartbreaking.
The election has taught me that while this may not have been impacting my life personally, it’s impacting countless other lives on a daily basis.
Absolutely! I have been doing what I can and will always join with someone who wants to end prejudice and inequality.
Thanks Lisa. Glad to have you here… ☺
We stand with you! Our Founder is Black and Autistic and he tells us horrific stories of his teen… https://t.co/OUR3WtfMWw

Yes, I will. I have never understood blaming, shaming, and being bigoted. And as parents with autistic and disabled children, we know they are treated as second class citizens too.
Thanks Becky
