It’s yet another Friday and that means IVIG Infusion and bloodwork for Gavin. While the infusion will be later on today, his blood work was done hours ago. 

I just called and tried to find out about this week’s platelet count.

Apparently, the results haven’t come in just yet but they’re going to call the lab and call me back with the results. You may recall that seemingly out of nowhere, Gavin’s platelet count plummeted in recent weeks and we need to keep a very close eye on them.  

The latest results were better but still below normal. 

Of course, this makes me very nervous because he’s already living with fragile health, this is a new problem and I’m his father (what else am I supposed to do).

So here I sit,  waiting for the boys to be released from their scholastic keepers and waiting to find out news that’s going to make my day or ruin my weekend. I’m hoping for the former. ☺
