For whatever reason, both Elliott and Emmett woke up about 4am. Neither of them went back to bed and both of them kept waking me up to ask me questions. 

By the time 7am rolled around, both boys were in a not so pleasant mood.

Elliott was really hyper and frankly, kind of annoying. Emmett was melting down over pretty much everything. It took forever to get Emmett in the car to leave for school and even longer to talk him out of the car when we arrived at school. 

I know this is going to sound dramatic but maybe other parents will get this. By the time I was outline away from the school this morning, I felt like I’d just been to war and back.. 
Meltdowns are so exhausting and there’s very little ways in which they can be stopped once they have begun. 

This morning has just left me feeling completely drained and wanting to climb back into bed. 

Unfortunately, that’s not in the cards today, so I’m going to have to make the best of today with the cards I’ve been dealt.
