These are just a couple pictures from today.. ☺

I’m going to say that the highlight of today was simply making it through.. ☺

There actually were a few highpoints but I have to keep those under wraps until I get the okay to share.

Today just seemed to require a great deal of energy and effort to get anything done. For that reason alone, I’m grateful to be writing this from the semi-comfort of my own bed.

As far as everyone’s therapies went today, they did really well.  Gavin did well in physical therapy and later in speech.  Emmett only had occupational therapy today but he did awesome as well.

Elliott did a great job of remaining patient while he sat and waited for his brothers to finish up.  This is a big deal because Elliott is known for many things, patience is not one of them.  LOL

At Dr.Pattie’s, we had a pretty decent sized Elliott meltdown but we worked through it.

I asked Dr. Pattie how she felt the boys were doing at this point in the game.  I’m of course referring to their Mom leaving because that had a huge impact on them for a very long time.

Dr. Pattie said that she thinks the boys are approaching the point they were at before the separation happened.

That feels pretty good because it means the boys are strong and just maybe I’m doing something right. The boys are proving to be resilient and perhaps I’m not as bad of a parent as I sometimes feel.

Anyway, she said that it seems like we’re back to mostly dealing with the boys and their inherent challenges.  It’s really hard to tease apart what’s what but for the most part, the kids are doing good and that’s all that matters.  There’s always going to things that come up in regards to the trauma they experienced in October of 2014 but for now at least, it seems like we’ve made some progress….

That’s actually really good news and I was/am quite happy to hear it..  ☺ 💙
