I’m sick, they’re sick but I’m trying to remain positive

I’m really feeling burnt out today.  Emmett’s been doing really well as far as being willing to rest but Elliott has been a nightmare.  Elliott just won’t cooperate and he’s generally miserable.

It’s hard trying to keep everyone resting when they are far too impulsive to do so.

I don’t think it would be so bad if I wasn’t sick myself.  I guess it would always be difficult but being sick myself just makes it more difficult.

It’s of relative certainty that the boys will be home tomorrow.  Emmett barely slept last night and is blowing snot everywhere, so I think he needs another day or so.  Elliott’s cough is still horrible and he probably needs another day on the steroids and antibiotics..

The only thing I need to do tomorrow is Gavin’s IVIG infusion and contact the boys caseworker about their insurance.

As far as sick days off from school go, Monday won’t be a bad one because it won’t really complicate anything….

I really try to focus on even the tiniest positive and the fact that life won’t be significantly disrupted by them missing school in the morning, is one of them… ☺
