How do you deal with friends or family who don’t get on board with the best needs of your special needs children? I think this is a really rough situation that we have found ourselves in too many times.

I also believe that it’s relatively common for special needs families to have someone that just never gets it.

I thought it would be helpful for all involved if we could discuss this topic a bit.  What has your experience been with people who won’t get on board with what’s in the best interests of your special needs child?

What have you tried in regards to helping that someone understand? Have you found any success? Have you ever had to make a really difficult decision as a result of someone who just doesn’t get it or want to believe a diagnosis?

Please share your personal experience and help others to avoid this type of problem…

Sometimes you have to drop or limit that person from your life, to maintain sanity.
