Tonight was the find the time that we’ve seen Dr. Pattie since Gavin was caught bullying one of his classmates again.

Most of tonight was spent discussing what happened and what, if anything we can do to prevent this from happening in the future..

Unfortunately, the consensus is that the only thing we can do is watch him closely.

When Dr. Pattie talked to Gavin, he admitted to purposefully invading this students personal space as an act of revenge for what he perceived as a slight.

He says that he’s sorry but I not alone when I say that I don’t believe him for a second.

Sure, he’s sorry.. He’s sorry he got caught.

I want to believe him.  I really, really want to believe him. Unfortunately, I know better and I know that I can’t..  It absolutely breaks my heart and makes me feel like a horrible person.

Lost and Tired

I’ll check the email link… Thanks for writing. The problem with Gavin is he has no moral compass. He is hard wired without a conscience. He does feel guilty about anything and he never learns.
We desperately try to keep him on the straight and narrow path but it’s not working…. I’m open to anything that will protect the people around him and help him to make better choices…..

I know parenting is a sensitive situation…and even throwing suggestions out there sometimes can be taken the wrong way. I do not know your kids lifestyle….or your whole family lifestyle…but..have you ever thought about maybe having him witness someone else being bullied. Like a video. A movie. Not even him sitting down to watch it..cause I assume maybe he would not show interest to..I have 1 boy who is autistic. But, I also take care of 3 boys who are not mine..but have neglectful parents. One boy was severely bullying other kids…So, I did what I thought should be done. I found some stories on youtube and let them play..kids stating how they feel when people bully them…etc. He didn’t bat an eye..but I could see the emotions coming up. I had some one ‘bully’ him. Yes, it was tough to see..but..he needed to feel it. It wasn’t bullying…but the kid was older & just picked on him for small things. I had to do this because my son doesnt speak..and that who things w autism…and he would start to pick on my son. My son obviously doesn’t know what ‘picking fun at someone’ is …but,,it was hard for me to watch. Ok, I will wrap my small story up…(it has a point, I sware) Anyways, I take my son for energy therapy. Yes, I know..I am going to say it….and not that I am saying this is anything for you…but…since taking my kid..I started to go. There is something called Somato Emotional Release Therapy…I dont know how to explain it..Like..when the kids stress us out..our neck hurts…then our back…then we cant sleep…etc…. years and years of this can just layer in our bodies. We hurt inside. For a reason. My kid..well…its another story..But, I took my nephew for a session. It was amazing. He was very sad inside. Something happened to him and he needed to release it…Im not saying he never pokes fun at peers anymore like kids do…but…I just wanted to share my story with you & you wife. There is a lot more that I would like to share w you guys if you would let me. I tried your email link on your page but it doesnt seem to work (;
