In the morning, I will be dropping off the boys at my parents house and carefully taking Gavin to his last IVIG Infusion. Actually, this isn’t his last IVIG Infusion. It’s the last one that will be done in the hospital.
By February’s infusion, he should be receiving them at home.
The reason for this is because he’s not handling the road trip well. His body is no longer coping with the movement of the car on the road and he’s going into Autonomic Crises by the time he arrives at the hospital. This has been the case the past few infusions and the last one was pretty bad.
I’m really worried that this trip isn’t going to go well. Gavin’s been acting kinda weird, even for him. He’s lethargic, more confused and forgetful than usual.
The roads are bad and it’s going to be a rough ride.
If you have any extra positive thoughts lying, please send them our way. I fear that we are going to really need it.
