I want to share something very special with my readers today. 

Elliott received a very special award today at school. This is a martial arts related award and it’s called The Blue Star.

This award is earned for outstanding display of self-control, courtesy, good deeds and a black belt attitude.

I’m so proud of my little blue star award winner. 

When we found this in his bag today after school, we panicked because we thought we missed an award ceremony.  Turns out that this was a small ceremony during the school day and it was just for the students. 

Amazing job my sweet, sensitive, kind, loving, compassionate and beautiful little boy.  You rock.  🙂

I truly love the fact that Summit Academy Schools use The Martial Arts with these kids.  This is a fantastic way to help these kids learn to control their bodies, build self-esteem, teach self-respect and a million other very positive things. 

It sure beats dodge ball…… 🙂
