We’ve hit a major milestone

Later on this morning, I will be sending my kids off to their first day of school.  Some will be returning, while another will be going for the very first time. There will be tears falling from my eyes while I’m crying like a baby, as I watch my youngest leave the nest and begin to spread his little wings.

At the same time, we will be celebrating another major milestone in our lives. It was on the 3rd of September, 2003, that I married my best friend.

Lizze and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary.

I told Lizze that for our anniversary, I’m giving her a house free from the kids during the day.  😉

I’m not sure what you’re supposed to give for a 10th anniversary but an 8 hour break each day during the week is a great place to start.

I’m really looking for to this new phase of our life.

10th Anniversary traditional gift (classic or modern? I don’t recall) is Aluminum. I remember because my husband was back in the Los Angeles area on business when the was a delivery at the door. Imagine my surprise to open the florist’s box to find 10 beautiful red roses…………. ALL ALUMINUM! They’re still on my piano, and I never have to water them. So thoughtful – lol!

Congrats to you both and enjoy it. Youve both earned the break. 🙂

Lost_and_Tired Congratulations! That was great for me for about a week, then it just got to be uncomfortably quiet in the house… lol.
