Emmett’s been up for awhile already.  Why?  Because now it’s apparently his turn to be sick.  Right now it’s pretty minor and just a runny nose.
Having said that, for a child like Emmett, with Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder, a runny nose is a really big deal.

He hates the feeling of his nose leaking and this will put him in a pretty foul mood.  I’m pretty sure this is a sensory and something we will continue to work on.

Does something as simple as a runny nose, drive your sensory sensitive child crazy? Is there anything you have found that helps?

My Three Sons

My child hates a stuffy nose! It drives him and us crazy as he snorts and snorts and blows to try to clear his nasal passages. It also causes him a great deal of anxiety as this is not how his nose is supposed to be. It can cause him to lose quite a bit of sleep because he is so troubled by it. Hope you find something to help Emmitt cope.
