How to foster independence

I wanted to share something with you that I found to be really beneficial to my kids.

I do my best to allow my kids to get as much hands on experience with life as possible. Take a look at the pictures below and you’ll see what I mean.   🙂

Life skills are very important for our guys. I started very young with my children and now as young adults they can shop without going broke, cook enough meals to survive & enjoy what they eat and wear clean clothes, LOL. Actually as soon as my children could reach the dials for the washer/dryer they were responsible for their own laundry. Cooking started with helping me and progressed to stove use when they could reach the back burners/dials. Oh and we all wash our own dishes here since we do not have a dishwasher. Some day his girlfriend or wife will thank me I hope LOL
