Something that I have been wanting to do for awhile but haven‘t had the time, was to compile a list of recommended apps.

The use of mobile devices such as android smartphones or tablets and iPads or iPhones, have become an amazing tool for use with children on the #Autism spectrum.

What I would like to do is encourage you to share your favorite apps for either android or iOS.

In the comments below, please give the name of the app you’re recommending, along with the platform (android or iOS) and if possible, a direct link to the app on the Google Play Store.  I don’t know how that works for apple but you can browse the Google Play store from your computer and actually install apps OTA.

I will take your recommendations and add them to a page that I’m working on that will help parents locate apps for use with their special needs children.

I am getting a new phone soon, and need an app to help me keep track of both my kiddos behaviors and their behavior goals while at home. They both have PANDAS, one autism too, and struggle with a lot of behavior issues. Anybody have one they can recommend? I’m looking for one where I can customize it, meaning, write in their personal goals (like: do not cuss, do not hit, etc) and keep track of the number of occurances each day, that sort of thing.

D.A.T.A. is a great app for behavior tracking. It was created by a behavior analyst and had many uses. You can track four behaviors at a time using frequency and/or duration. It is pretty awesome. It is in the apple us store but i dont hae the direct link.

This app was created by our family.  My husband is an IOS developer, and we have three autistic boys.   The oldest, an excellent artist, created all the artwork and animations, that will have your kids laughing at the unexpected silliness, while they effortlessly practice addition facts.
