This is going to be another busy week.  Aside from all the regular therapies and appointments, Lizze will be back at the Cleveland Clinic.

This trip will be the sleep specialist. While she’s there, she’s also having x-rays in her hands because the rheumatologist is concerned that there is arthritic damage to the joints in her hands.  The only way to know for sure is x-rays.

Later in the week, Lizze also be having an EEG to rule out seizure activity.

Her neurologist is concerned because she can smell and taste cigars. This wouldn’t be a big deal except for the fact that these are actually present.

The doctor says these can be a sign of seizures. I had never heard that before but he’s the doctor.

These are just the main things going on this week.

To be completely honest, I’m exhausted just thinking about all of this and I can’t imagine how Lizze is going to manage. She’s already in terrible shape  and barely hanging on.

The tragic events that took the life of our neighbor and friend last night has us both on complete shutdown.  Lizze is taking it particularly hard.

It’s safe to say that we simply have too much on our plates.

I’m going to remain positive about this week so that I can keep everyone moving forward.

This isn’t going to be an easy week but hopefully we’ll all be better for it.

I have a friend who smells bananas before having a migraine.  Some people have relatively silent migraines and the only way they know is by having an aura where they smell, taste or see things.  Neither migraines or seizures are nice to have but I hope it is something fairly benign.

@ca276 thank you very much. 🙂 @fibromamaby3

I have a friend who smells burnt oranges right before having a seizure.  Apparently this is quite common.
Hope Lizzie manages to get through all of the hoop jumping.

@Batty that's really strange. This seems to be more common than I thought. Thanks for sharing.
