What the hell is wrong with society. The Canton Repository just posted a follow up to the article I posted earlier (see It’s Really Scary).
They arrested two suspects believed to be responsible for the triple shooting that happened about a block or so from my house over the weekend.
They were kids, one was 16 and the other 18. This is absolutely insane. What’s wrong with the world, that our kids are doing things like this?

CANTON-Detectives arrested an 18-year-old city man and a juvenile after three people were shot early Sunday morning in a 12th Street NW apartment.
Devione C. Mitchell, 18, of 1718 Regent Ave. NE, Apt. C, and 16-year-old Corey Sullivan of 339 15th St. NW, Apt. 5, were arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday after officers answered a call at to an apartment in the 800 block of 12th St. NW.
Detective Bureau Capt. Dave Davis said the pair, both believed to have been armed, entered the apartment without permission and shot three occupants there. The injured were taken to Mercy Medical Center and Aultman Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“We believe a handgun was used. And we believe this is connected to shootings that have been happening in the city,” Davis said,
He declined to provide more details as the investigation continues. Two weapons were recovered at the scene.
Mitchell, who had been arrested for assault Sept. 26 and released on his own recognizance, now is facing three felonious assault charges and one aggravated burglary charge. He is being held at the Stark County Jail and will be arraigned at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Canton Municipal Court.
Sullivan’s arraignment is 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Multi-County Juvenile Attention Center where he is being held.
Where are the parents? How do we prevent things like this from happening?

Families are falling apart due to our obsession with self gratification. Society as a whole is more interested in the lives of pseudostars such as the Jenner/Kardashians than in offering comfort to those who are suffering and help to those who are in need. Until we take back our airwaves from the nutty media moguls and turn back to the values of our forefathers—of giving assistance where needed and communities working together for the common good—families are going to continue to go down the drain and our youth to make decisions based on self interest alone.
