How I recovered from a rough morning

My day started off a little rough. Nothing happened, I was just in a bit of a funk. I pushed myself to go workout and that helped. I remembered I hadn’t eaten anything either. The workout was great and eating took care of the rest.

Anyway, I bounced back and ended up having a fantastic day.

Emmett went to my parents for the day and Elliott wanted to go back to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. We ended up going by ourselves and had a great time. Elliott and I don’t get one on one time very often, so it was nice.

I also just found out I will be childless Thursday and Friday. Really kinda excited about that. I don’t have anything to do but the downtime is welcomed for sure.

The boys are doing quite well and I’m so glad to see them enjoying life once again. Their pain has weighed heavily on me for a very long time and I feel like I can finally put that down.

My time with Elliott was really fun. I wasn’t really in the mood to go that far tonight but it was well worth it. We stopped and got ice cream on the way home. He’s so much fun and I can’t wait to go back with the whole crew. I’m really excited about that actually.

In other news, I’ve been asked to take part in a pro-vaccine film, as well as an upcoming series on autism. Had one meeting tonight and it went really well. I don’t have all the details yet but this could a really interesting experience. I do want to talk to my better half about it and get her thoughts, when she’s back from vacation. I value her opinion and always feel better after talking things through with her. We make a really good team.

Anyway, I’m completely exhausted from a very long, physically active day. I definitely want to hit the gym tomorrow but I’m not sure what time. I think I’ll need to sleep in a little bit and hit the gym after the boys leave for the day.

I’m so grateful for the direction my life is taking and I will never take it for granted.
