It was a stressful day yesterday and not just because it was a Monday. I had to take Emmett to the dentist to get his tooth fixed. I was not excited about that because we were well outside of my COVID comfort zone but it was a necessary evil.
His dentist is out of town and that was literally the farthest I've driven since returning home from Orlando last February.
Emmett did very well and everyone in the office wore masks. Some wore them better than others and by that I mean not everyone kept their nose tucked into their mask. I felt relatively comfortable with the COVID safety protocol but I would have preferred the avoid it all together.

I was right about Emmett's tooth. It is a baby tooth and he simply lost a filling. I figured they would either fill it or just pull the tooth since it's a baby tooth. Apparently, there's still a lot of root on that tooth so the dentist decided to put a metal cap on it instead. He was concerned that the filling wouldn't stay and pulling it would have been more invasive.
Anyway, as I said, Emmett did well and while he's sore, he's doing okay today.
I'm a bit on edge because anytime we have to go out, we're introducing risk. I'm okay with outdoor activities like hiking because we're not around other people. Indoor places make me very nervous right now.
Sometimes we got to do what we got to do.
