I fell asleep last night before I could finish writing and while that’s a bit inconvenient, I’m grateful that I fell asleep. Sleep has been very problematic as of late.

Anyway, the boys and I had a pretty good day.

I think I mentioned that my lawn mower died after about 15 years of use and 8 had to order a new one. It was delivered yesterday afternoon and I was able to get the yard cut. It’s fantastic and I can’t wait for the grass to grow back so I can use it again.

We spent some time cleaning out the garage and making a new home for the mower.

I put our old one out by the curb and it was snatched up very quickly. I suppose it’s someone else’s problem now.

We resecured the garage while we were out there. The people door has been fixed and an new lock installed. Gavin wanted nothing to do with any of this but the E’s were a big help.

I decided to reward everyone for their cooperation and hard work by ordering dinner. We watched a movie and played some Minecraft together before bed. It was a mostly calm and quiet evening. Those are few and far between but I’m so grateful when I get them.

Emmett and I spent some time finding hidden pictures in the Highlights app before he was able to fall asleep. He and I used to do that every single night. For whatever reason we’d forgotten about this but it’s a ton of fun.

I absolutely love days like today because they were relatively drama free and full of good memories.
