The boys and I are getting ready to go on our little working vacation and I beginning to stress out a little bit. Planning this whole thing out is a bit challenging because and doing it completely on my own is even moreso. I’m hoping that our experience will help others learn more about the unique challenges families like mine face.

With 3 Special Needs kids, there are literally a million things that could go wrong and I have to be prepared for anything. I’ve tried to think about the most likely scenarios but I feel like I’m forgetting as much as I’m remembering. I need to Zen the heck out before I lose my mind. Maybe I should spend some time checking out different ways of viewing life in a more positive way. https://www.buddhismnature.com/dharma01.html is a great example.

I tend to get really stressed out and overwhelmed because I stuck in a way of thinking and can’t always see things in a different light. ModernMysterySchoolInt.com could provide some needed insights or simply challenge my way of thinking.

I’ve tried to plan out food stops and things to fill in our free time. Emmett wants to go to this family restaurant that we went to the last time. It’s in Charlotte, NC and it should be close to our hotel.

I searched online for some sites that provides advice for planning trips like this and I found tons of sites like https://www.sbtravel.com/corporate.html but nothing that’s devoted to travel advice or arrangements for special needs families. Seems like that might be a good niche is someone’s looking to create one.

Being able to one stop shop everything you need for your Special Needs family’s trip would be amazing.

It’s not like I’m going to the Bahamas but a cross country drive to Florida is challenging enough.

We’ll have to see how things go. I know this will be a positive experience. The kids are excited to try some new things. I stumbled across this thing called FreedomJars and since I won’t be making my smoothies while I’m gone, this might be a good option. Not sure if I can find anything like it but they look really good. If you don’t know what these are, you can check out https://www.freedomjars.ca. Tell me they don’t look amazing.
