Today DID NOT go well but it could’ve been worse

It’s been an incredibly frustrating day for me. The kids were sick which means I couldn’t go walking or run the numerous errands that I need to get done. It meant that a large part of what I had planned on getting done, simply didn’t happen.

As of bedtime, the kids are feeling a better. Unfortunately, Emmett is back to not being able to sleep in his own bed. He was doing really well for the last couple of weeks. He would still wake up on occasion and race into my room but he was falling asleep in his bed. He’s usually pretty upset when he wakes up because he had a nightmare. He curls up next to me, shaking and it takes time to calm him down enough that he falls back a sleep. It’s heartbreaking, it really is.

I didn’t have any business come in today and while that sucks, it happens. I’ve been lucky enough to have a pretty steady flow of business recently and that’s really helped. It’s only Monday and I have the rest of the week to get make on track.

A large part of my day was spent migrating my podcast to a new host. Anchor is what I’ve been using but there’s too many bugs and it was causing me a ton of extra work that I just don’t have the time or patience for. It took me a little while to locate an option that would be a good fit but I finally did. Unfortunately, I’ve had to move to a paid service. Anchor was free but it was a nightmare for me. The podcast still more than pays for itself. It’s less than $20/month and it seems to have solved my problems.

Those 2 steps forward, one back, 2 forward, 3 back…can be wearying.
