I have some really positive news to share

I didn’t do a whole lot during my brief break. My Dad came over to help with some home repairs and I’m so grateful for that. I did finally bring myself to go through some paperwork I’ve been avoiding. Ignoring it isn’t going to make it any easier or less necessary. Oh, and I finished watching season 2 of Jack Ryan.

I feel like I slept pretty well and was up relatively early because Ruby just wasn’t willing to sleep in. I suppose her tiny bladder wasn’t allowing her to sleep in either.

When the boys got home, we hung out for a little while before heading outside to tackle the leaves. I focused on the leaves in the front yard today because I was running out of daylight and still needed to wash and wax the car, which I did. I’m trying to do that every weekend when the weather permits. I’ve got a lot of money tied up in this car and I really want to take care of it.

Washing and waxing the car also gives me a bizarre sense of normalcy, and I need that in my life.

The boys have school in the morning, even though it’s a Federal holiday. I thought that was a little weird but whatever.

Gavin needs to get his blood work done as well and he’s stressing out because some of his IVIG infusion supplies haven’t been delivered. He’s got enough for Monday but not Friday. While it’s annoying to here the same questions about it, over and over again, he’s also recognizing that he’s missing supplies. That’s really positive because he’s able to better manage his own life. If he just let it go and didn’t bring it up, I would actually be more concerned.

It’s going to be a slower week but I have a really good interview lined up. It’s all about online streaming and keeping our kids safe. I’m pretty excited. That will air on the 22nd of November. Stay tuned.

If you haven’t already, please check out last week’s pod. I spoke with Melissa Hruza from adoptaclassroom.org. We talk about the current funding issues that teachers are facing and what adoptaclassroom.org is doing to help. Check that out here.

I have therapy this week. It’s been a couple weeks since I’ve seen my therapist. The kids were sick and she was out of town. I’m looking forward to working on myself this week.

Outside of that, I do have some pretty exciting news to share but that’s for another post. Actually, that’s for two more posts. ☺
