Gavin’s getting a promotion of sorts, at least it feels that way to him. He had his blood work done on Monday as he usually does, but this time it’s a bit different.
Rather than requiring blood work every week and only receiving 7 days worth of Clozapine, he’s moving to blood work every 2 weeks and a 14 day supply of Clozapine at a time. This means that his numbers have been stable for at least 6 months. This also assumes the powers that be will allow the change. Everything has been submitted and I don’t foresee it being an issue.
Gavin is very excited. It doesn’t necessarily change a whole lot for him but he goes from blood work every week to only needing it every other week. That’s big for him and I totally understand that.
I should find out today for sure, if everything has been approved. For his sake, I really hope it is.
Gavin is hands down the bravest person I’ve ever known. The shit he goes through would break most of us. He never complains and never gives up either. He almost always has a smile on his face and is more concerned about what you need then what he does. He’s among the most selfless people I’ve ever met.
My fingers are crossed that when I call the pharmacy this morning, they have only good news to share.
Also so glad to hear you’ve gotten this good news about Gavin. I commend this very great and positive area of his personality. You’ve got great kids Rob. Always my best to you all.
Good to hear positive news. Plus, it’s nice to hear about Gavin’s best side.
