Anyway, we made it, found some seats and then the drama started.

These two very unpleasant women arrived and out of nowhere, began screaming at this couple to get out of their seats. I was there since the doors opened and these two had never touched the seats and the couple that was in them, had been there from the start.

It was a unfortunate event because these women were truly nasty, mean people. They screamed and made threats at this poor couple in the front row. It was completely unprovoked and inexcusable. What’s worse, they did it right in front of Emmett’s class, who was waiting to begin their performance.

It was also upsetting that no one aside from the principal said anything. All the other parents just sat there and didn’t stick up for the couple in the front row. I told the two ladies to leave and reminded them that this was supposed to be about the kids. The principal led them to the side, where they were still saying nasty things.

I was so pissed off because this was uncalled for and they were basically verbally assaulting 2 innocent people. They did all this in front of the kids and loud enough so everyone in the cafeteria could hear every single word.

Anyway, once those two shut up, the kids went on and it was super cute.

We left after Emmett’s show and freed up some seats for other people. Emmett did great and wasn’t too upset about the fricking sequel to Fight Club that was playing out before their eyes.

I did record the performance but unfortunately, for reasons I can’t explain, the video is upside down. It was shot in 4k at 60fps and that’s not super quick or easy to fix, at least not on my equipment. I’ll see what I can do over the weekend and I’ll try to get it up. It’s not hard, I just don’t have the cpu power to render this in a reasonable amount of time.

Overall, it’s been a really good day and I’m so proud of Emmett because he did awesome. I’m proud of all my kids and I always make sure they know it. ☺
