We've had a pretty eventful day. The boys did great at school today and that's ways a good thing. ☺
On the way home, Emmett informed us that he was invited to another birthday party, only this time it was less than 24 hours notice. They passed out invitations at the end of the day on Friday for a birthday party the following day.
That's kinda short notice and Emmett won't be home. Actually, Emmett and Elliott won't be home. They're going to be at their grandparents.
I feel bad and I hope someone is able to make it but that short of notice is kinda hard to work with.

Anyway, after picking the boys up, we all went over to my parents house to hang out with my Grandpa for a few hours. My parents were going to an out of town wedding and so we hung out with him while they were gone.
Actually, it was a team effort..
We were there until about 6 PM and then two of my brothers came over. They brought him dinner and spent the evening watching the Indians game together. ☺
Lizze and I took Gavin to get something to eat and thought we would spend some time with him while his brothers were gone. He unfortunately, had other plans and disappeared into his room the moment we got home.
We could have made him hang out with us but I'm pretty sure he was *going on a mission. *
For those new to our story, one of Gavin's many challenges is Schizophrenia. He believes he goes on missions with his team of superheros and defends the Universe from evil. That's an oversimplification of an insanely complicated situation but I don't feel like dredging that up at the moment.
You can visit here for more about our Schizophrenia journey.
Anyway, as long as he's not endangering himself or others, it's best we don't interfere with his hallucinations.
I'm sure he'll tell us all about it when he's ready.
It ended up being a pretty quiet evening and I'm okay with that. I'm exhausted from the struggles that we face each day. Things like Autism, ADHD, Schizophrenia and fragile health make everyday life a challenge. Having said that, I'm grateful for how well everything went. There's always the potential for disaster and we managed to avoid any major disasters..
That's worth celebrating in my book..
