It’s pushing 9 am and Elliott is still fast asleep. We’ve decided to put all of our plans on hold today, and let Elliott sleep as much as he possibly can. He’s gone so long without sleeping, we want to give him every opportunity to do so today.

I’m so grateful that he’s found sleep once again..

No matter how fucked up your sensory issues are, your body will give out and make you sleep at some point. I can’t get to sleep with even an earplug scratching a pillow ( nack ear plugs didn’t make my ears itch), let alone a teacher speaking at the front of the room, but there were a few rare occasions that I wore out enough to fall asleep in class (and we’re talking even after all nighters and sometimes 30+ hours without sleep). I’m glad Elliot’s body finally reached that point.
