Did I do well enough today?

Folks, I’m burned out. It’s been about twenty-four hours since I’ve written anything. It’s important to understand that while I’m physically and emotionally exhausted, I’m not giving up on anything.

One of the things I’ve learned on my Autism Parenting journey is, that I have no idea what tomorrow has in store.

No matter how bad today has been, as long as I live to see tomorrow, there’s always hope. It’s so easy to get lost on this treacherous, exhausting, overwhelming, and all consuming journey. I’ve found myself lost many times along the way. In fact, that’s where the title of my first blog came from.

I felt lost and tired, especially in the beginning. I can totally relate to what many of you are going through.

Sometimes, the only thing I can do is trust that I did well enough today, and even if I didn’t, I can try again tomorrow.

When life gets you down, and you’re seriously questioning everything, take a deep breath, and hug your kids (if your kids are okay being touched or hugged of course).

In that moment, you may not know how you’re going to get through this, but you will remember why you’re going to get through this. ♥

It’s okay to take a breather. We all need to take a break sometimes, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Don’t give up and hang on to even the tiniest shred of hope. Sometimes that’s all it takes to overcome the obstacle. ☺
