Today was one of those rare occasions where it seemed like everything went in our favor. That’s because it has in many ways.  There were some really amazing things that happened today and while I’ll save the rest for another time, I want to focus on the most important one.  

Gavin had his bloodwork done today and I almost forgot to call and check on the results because of all the other awesome things that happened. 

I remembered right before dinner and made a call. 
You may remember that the current concern has to do with his platelet count plummeting to extremely low levels. He was down to 122 in the last couple of weeks. The normal is 150 – 450, with anything lower than 150 being low and anything less than 120 is serious. 

This week’s levels are back up to 150. ☺ 

That’s still the lowest possible number that’s still considered normal but I’ll gladly take it.  

We still don’t know why this is happening and so we will have to remain vigilant each week but for tonight, I can go to sleep feeling a sense of peace and that’s not something that comes along all the time.
