I don’t know who wrote this particular quote and certainly cannot take credit for it but it’s a really good one nonetheless.
This quote touches on something that only an Autism parent will likely understand.
My Emmett is so unbelievably intelligent (all my kids are actually) and can spend the entire day feeding me random facts that he’s read about or looked up on Google. I honestly don’t even question the things he says anymore because he always knows what he’s talking about.
Having said that, while Emmett can tell me that the possum is immune to snake venom (it’s true, see HERE) he can’t tell me what he wants for lunch or why he had a good/bad day at school.
It’s really frustrating….
