Last week, Emmett had the first of three procedures done to fix his teeth. He’s receiving metal caps to fix two broken teeth and a cavity. The worst one was fixed and he’s not scheduled to go back until mid-August.

Unfortunately, one of the teeth that hasn’t been fixed yet has become extremely painful.

The dentist was closed today and so I ran out and got him extra strength Orajel.  We rotated between Motrin and Tylenol for most of the day but it didn’t seem to provide a great deal of relief.

I’m calling first thing in the morning and I’m going to see if they can get him in ASAP because he’s in so much pain.

Needless to say, he’s absolutely miserable and a bear to live with right now. It breaks my heart to see him so miserable but we’re going to get this figured out.

If his dentist can’t get him in, we’ll have to find someone who can.

How do your kids handle pain? Do they get hyper or aggressive?
