I got some sleep and Emmett made it through the entire day at school.  That seems like a win win.  For the most part, they were even in a good mood.

Everything changed however, about 4pm when Emmett all of a sudden realized that he forgot his tablet at school and the Universe began to implode around him.

Thankfully, the school was open until 5pm and we were able to retrieve it.

I offered to give him mine for the night but he wouldn’t have it.  He had to have his.

We retrieved it and when he got home, he put it away and never touched it.  O_o

Why did I not make him wait until tomorrow? Simple…  For kids on the Autism Spectrum, including mine, tablets are very much like a safety blanket and without it, they panic.

It’s one of those things that makes sense to a fellow Autism Parent but may not make sense to anyone else, no offense intended.

At least he’s feel better and I need to give kudos to Elliott because he was extremely cooperative.  He willingly agreed to go and I’m really proud of him.  😊
