It was bound to happen and frankly, I’m surprised it took this long.
At some point last night, Zane, our albino ferret, let himself out of their cage and went about exploring the house.
Emmett discovered him this morning, just walking around. He was fine and just walked up to Emmett, like all of this was normal.
I knew something was off last night but I didn’t know what it was.
I had locked Maggie in her kennel before bed because she hurt her leg and won’t rest it if she’s free to roam the house.
Anyway, last night I heard her barking but not her normal bark. She was upset about something. Eventually, I went downstairs and carried her up to my room before going back to bed.
I bet you a dollar, that Zane was teasing Maggie through the bars of her kennel last night and that’s why Maggie was freaking out.
Maggie loves the ferrets but Zane is a a male and she’s a little less sure of him.
Anyway, this cage is supposed to be escape proof but it looks like I have at least one ferret that’s smarter than the designer of the cage.. Lol
