After the boys left this afternoon, I ended up going over to my parents house for dinner.  It’s was nice to be there and just be able to hangout and talk.  I didn’t stay too long because I wasn’t feeling well and wanted to come home and just relax.

The boy’s Mom called and I ended up talking to Emmett for a little while. 

It seems everyone was having fun and that’s something I feel really good about. I want them to have fun and enjoy the time they have with their Mom and Grandparents. 

I will say that talking to them on the phone because they’re visiting their Mom, isn’t something that I’m completely adjusted to.  I never talk to the boys while they’re gone, unless there’s a problem because I don’t want talking to me to make them want to come home early.

At the same time, it was nice being able to tell them goodnight…  They just aren’t gone very long so phone calls didn’t seem necessary.  I’m always happy to talk if they call or something, they just never do unless there’s a problem.  Lately, there hasn’t really been any problems and that’s a good thing. 

I spent the evening watching cartoons because that’s what I’m used to having on TV when the boys are home and it’s oddly comforting while the boys are gone. 

The boys will be home before I know it but prior to that, my goal is to sleep for 12 hours and as exhausted as I feel right now, that shouldn’t be a problem….. ☺
