It’s been a really long but mostly decent day.  The difficulties with Gavin aside, everyone’s doing pretty well considering it’s only 5 days until Christmas.

The boys and I went grocery shopping this afternoon and that went largely without any hiccups.  ☺

We kept busy this afternoon and made some progress around the house.

Anxiety for Christmas day is really starting to take hold and I expect the next few days will be a bit more trying than most.

How do your kids handle the anticipation of Christmas or whatever holiday you may celebrate?

My kids are actually looking forward to Christmas this year, because their “love” is being “bought” by their new step mother. I don’t have a problem with this because she’s wasting her money. My kids asked for nothing this year, but they tell me that there are all these presents under the tree.
The biggest problem for my kids will be having to spend the whole day with their new step grandparents where there is no safe place for my son to go to get away from everything overwhelming. That is the only thing I worry about, that no one is going to understand the difficulty my son is going thru especially since he is being weaned off his meds so he can start a new one.
