Son of a bitch…… That’s all I can think to say at this point.
Emmett woke up extra early again today. Per his usual routine, he climbed into bed with us and pressed his face into mine. This is something Emmett has always done.
The next time I woke up, it was because Emmett was complaining that he can’t open his eyes.
It took me a second to realize what he was talking about.
I rolled over and saw that his eye were caked shut and when we got them open, I saw the culprit. It’s pink eye, aka Conjunctivitis and he’s got it pretty bad.
Emmett went from nothing to having both eyes horribly infected.
Of everyone in the family to get this, Emmett is the last person I would have wanted to get something like this.
The issue with Emmett is that he is so extremely so sorry sensitive that he will not leave his eyes alone. He’s absolutely miserable and the next 7 days are going to be hell for him and in turn for everyone else.
Pink eye is running rampant in the school right now and Emmett is the second of my kids to aquire this gift in the last two weeks.
Putting his eye drops in is going to be an absolute nightmare for everyone and I’m not looking forward to battling him 4 times a day for the next 7 days…… Just kill me now…….

Yeah, but pink eye is pernicious, eh? The gift that keeps on giving…
Yes it is… Fingers crossed that we’re done.. 🙂
oh, yeah, what a way to wake up. Along the lines of hearing “Mom, I don’t feel good” (from the child standing over you while you sleep) right before they barf.
Okay… You win this round. That’s pretty horrible. 😉
