Sometimes my kids can surprise me in such am amazing way.  Tonight I was gifted by one of these moments.  When we were leaving Dr.  Pattie’s office tonight, Elliott was complaining that his leg hurt.  He was dragging it behind him in all his dramatic glory.

Instead of teasing him or otherwise irritating the situation, Emmett did the absolute sweetest thing.

As Elliott was dramatically limping out of the office, Emmett took his little arm, put it around his big brother and carefully helped him out to the car.

It was so amazing to see the pure act of brotherly love and compassion. Especially considering how often the boys are at each others throats lately.  I can’t even begin to explain how proud I am of Emmett tonight. … not that I’m not always proud, cause I am… 🙂

Very nice to see the brotherly love. Your pics captured it perfectly. However, I also wanted to point out one more thing here. I am amazed at your positivity and love for your kids. When you are down, please remember that it takes extraordinary strength to pull through, every thing that you have on your plate. Your kids and wife are very lucky to have such unconditional love and support!!!.
I think of you, when I am having a tough day/time, and it all becomes better. Thanks for sharing your story.
