Last night and thus morning, Emmett at down to undertake a challenging task.  He not only colored thus picture, but actually wanted to cut it out, all by himself.

I made a few color copies for him and he wanted to cut those out as well.

As you may or may not be aware of, kids with Autism can sometimes have problems with things like fine motor skills, making the intricate task of using scissors quite challenging.

Emmett’s really been working hard in order to be able to do this and I’m incredibly proud of his progress and perseverance.  Please feel free to leave your positive feedback below and let him know how good of a job he did. He’s also learning to read and we read your comments together.  ๐Ÿ™‚

As a teacher of students on the spectrum, I’d say Emmett did an awesome job. I would be proud to be his teacher! ๐Ÿ™‚
