It is clearly safer to get vaccines than not to.  Anyone who says otherwise is not correctly weighing any risks that might exist.
Whether or not vaccine producers should improve standards, while that is without question too, they should. 
They need to find a substitute for the mercury containing preservative used in vaccines, even if it is safe in low levels.  They need to find better vaccine production methods and better vaccine delivery systems to reduce adverse reactions.  The reason for this is twofold. First improve safety, and second remove any last shred of sanity to the arguments against vaccinations.
