I wrote a post the other day directed at the Akron Aeros.  After speaking with the school, we had learned that Elliott wouldn’t be able to attend the game on Thursday with his class because the lunch menu had been changed to Peanut butter and Jelly.

As you know, Elliott has food allergies to peanuts and treenuts.   Eing surrounded by people that were ingesting these things would not be a wise move.  After all, they’re kids and kids are messy. 🙂

I’m not sure where the miscommunication was but there was clearly a miscommunication.

Apparently, the lunch menu for Education Days has been PB&J for the past 3 seasons.

Regardless of what happened, I want to thank the Akron Aero’s for stepping up and making it possible for my son and others with peanut allergies to attend the game tomorrow by setting up a peanut free zone in the stadium and personally supervising the kids that will be in that zone.

This is so unbelievably kind of them and I truly wish that others out there follow their lead.

Thank you Akron Aero’s for working with our kids.  🙂
